The Climate Change Truth

The past week in Congress and across the country, a closer look has been taken at “climate change.” Last Friday, Congress passed a cap and trade tax bill, the main purpose for was to help reverse the effects of climate change. That controversial bill, perhaps the most controversial bill in recent memory, narrowly passed the House of Representative due to the efforts of liberal activists. Cap and trade calls for the creation of an energy tax for all Americans to pay as a penalty for climate change and the loss of at least 2.5 million jobs. Sounds like a swell bill right? Thanks President Obama for this change we can believe in!
Since that vote, many have been doing research and it turns out “climate change,” may just be another liberal myth. Earlier this week, it was leaked that the EPA suppressed a report that raised questions about global warming science. The report specifically had to do with levels of carbon dioxide and its role in rising temperatures. The EPA claims that the more carbon dioxide rises in the atmosphere, the more temperatures will rise. What about this report that was suppressed by the government? It finds that carbon dioxide levels have gone up over the past few years, while temperatures have gone down. That seriously torpedoes a center piece of climate change belief. The facts about climate change seem to move around with the wind. Back in the 1970’s and 1980’s it was “global cooling,” in the 1990’s and until recently it was “global warming,” and now it is “climate change.” Seriously, the environmentalists and liberals need to pick one and stick with it.
The truth is, no matter how inconvenient to Al Gore and Nancy Pelosi, is that humans have very little, if any role in the earth’s temperatures. The temperature of Earth has not risen since 2001. When that inconvenient truth reared its head, the argument became climate change. Our planet warms and cools in cycles. It has for millions of years and will continue to do so. Our climate has not changed one bit since the alarm bells went off years ago. This became an issue when Al Gore, the liberal wing of the Democratic Party, and young people decided it was important. Al Gore wanted an Oscar, the Democrats wanted a campaign issue, and young people wanted something to care about. Truth is, we’ve been scammed. Why?
Well there are two really big reasons. One reason is purely about good old fashioned greed and the other is about a blind, disturbing ideology. Money is one of the strongest motivators for someone to do something or not do something. Liberal environmentalists, especially the wealthy ones, some of the politicians, and the celebrities, are in it to make a buck. When this cap and trade bill passed for instance, green companies stand to make a fantastic profit thanks to the new government standards. Well, who do you think are the investors of the companies? That’s right, many members in the House that voted for the bill have investments in the very companies they are seeking to jump start. Nancy Pelosi, Henry Waxman, Ed Markey, and god knows who else stands to make a profit. Mr. Climate Change himself, Al Gore, practically has the green market cornered and very well may become the first “green” billionaire.
When money is not a motive, it is a blind liberal ideology. The cap and trade bill is clearly unnecessary, but was passed to make government bigger. Many proponents of climate change are using the issue to raise taxes, create new agencies, make stricter standards you have to live by, and put capitalism out of business. It is sick because they are using a nonexistent issue, which many people believe in, to promote creeping socialism on this country. That is what they are doing, and pay attention because it is getting worse. Luckily, people are discovering the truth about these issues and the numbers for those who do not believe in this fallacy are rising.
