What Eats Bears? What Do Bears Eat?
In Asia, a large tiger might sometimes kill and eat a small or medium-sized panda or other Asian bear. Anywhere else in the world, the only animal that can eat a full-grown bear is another bear. But bears sometimes do eat other bears.
Baby bears have the most to fear from other bears. Large male grizzly bears—also called brown bear—occasionally kill and eat grizzly bear cubs. Large male polar bears sometimes kill and eat small polar bears.
In addition, sometimes grizzly bears kill black bears. A full-grown grizzly is much larger and stronger than even the largest black bear, so black bears always try to escape when they see a grizzly.
And, what does a bear eat? Bear are omnivores, which means they eat almost anything, from insects to berries to large animals, and carrion (animals that have been dead for a while).
