Pavé engagement rings feature shimmering diamonds set in lustrous metal. The term 'pavé' derives from the ever-chic French language and is a form of their word for 'paved.' So pavé diamond rings are, in a sense, literally paved with diamonds – the height of luxury! Pavé engagement rings have been popular for centuries.
