The Bicolored Blackbirds (A. p. gubernator) in endemic to California and central Mexico. It looks very similar to the Red-winged Blackbird, but the male lacks the yellow wing patch of the nominate Red-winged Blackbird, and the female is much darker than the female Red-winged Blackbird.
