The scrub robins or bush chats are mostly African species that inhabit open woodland or scrub; however, the Rufous Bush Chat also breeds in southern Europe and east to Pakistan.
This family belongs to the genus Cercotrichas, sometimes placed in to genus Erythorpygia.
These birds mostly feed on insects and nest on the ground or in bushes.
