Jungle Fowl
Jungle fowl is a group of four living pheasant species that occur in India, Sri Lanka and, southeast Asia.
These large birds have a colorful male plumage, but they are usually well hidden in dense vegetation.
The female alone incubates the eggs and raises the young.
The jungle fowl are seed-eaters, but insects are also taken, particularly by the young birds.
The Red Junglefowl is believed to be a domesticated chicken.
