The following Cuckoos and Coucals occur naturally in the Philippines:

Black-faced Coucal (Centropus melanops)

Black-hooded Coucal (Centropus steerii) – Endemic

Gould’s Bronze-cuckoo (Chrysococcyx russatus)

Horsfield’s Cuckoo or Oriental Cuckoos (Cuculus optatus)

Large Hawk-cuckoo (Cuculus sparverioides)

Lesser Coucal (Centropus bengalensis)

Philippine Coucal (Centropus viridis) – Endemic

Philippine Drongo-cuckoo (Surniculus velutinus) – Found only in the Philippines

Philippine Hawk-cuckoos (Cuculus pectoralis) – Found only in the Philippines

Plaintive Cuckoo (Cacomantis merulinus) – The nominate form C. m. merulinus is found in the Philippines where it is common on many of the larger islands

Rufous Coucal (Centropus unirufus) – Endemic

Violet Cuckoo (Chrysococcyx xanthorhynchus)
