A New Force in Recycled Aggregates

SCGlogoBruce Engineering from Cookstown, Northern Ireland, is to appoint Hamilton based quarry spares company, SCG Supplies Ltd as their dealer for The North of England and Scotland, and Coalville based Gladiator Plant Sales, as the dealer for Central and Southern regions.

The partnerships will be made official at the Hillhead Show, although all 3 companies have been networking with each other for some time.

Bruce Engineering has been providing bespoke screening and washing solutions to the quarrying industry for over 50 years but more recently has turned its considerable expertise to recycling.

Reuben Bruce, The MD of the family owned business says. “with the much increased demand for our mobile and static washing range it has become clear that we needed local dealers with contacts on the customers’ doorstep”

The new BWR 300 Mobile Recycling Wash Plant, which will be unveiled at the show, is suitable for recovery of aggregates, from waste streams which do not qualify as Group 1 for Lower Rate Landfill Tax. The machine comprises a log washer, trash screen and aggregate rinsing screen on a skid or mobile chassis. Also in the range is the BWS 60 high frequency Cyclone sand recovery system which is designed to deliver low moisture sand and minimise fine material lost to further processing. If however, silty water is a problem because of lack of site space for settlement lagoons, a full range of thickener tanks are available as well as the Baioni Centrifuge silt recovery system which can be seen at this years’ Hillhead.

SCG Supplies Ltd has been delivering a comprehensive range of products to the quarrying and recycling industries since 2007. With a growing customer base, hungry for quality spare and wear parts and PPE from a reliable source, the company has seen its business turn international in the last two years. Director with responsibility for procurement and export Stephen Grieve observes “overseas customers, just like the UK companies we work with, very much want reliability of supply and that is what we strive to provide”

With over 20 years of sales experience with Powerscreen and Komatsu, Paul Thorne will head up the field sales operation for SCG “We have been approached before by Northern Ireland based manufacturing companies but we felt, Bruce engineering’s long standing reputation for service would fit best with our own business values. We not only felt that the products were innovative and relevant in today’s market but we liked the people in Bruce’s team too”

So why not call onto either stand C14 and discuss SCGs range of spares and site support products or visit Bruce Engineering at stand C20. Any member of the team will be glad to arrange a site visit and a survey of your application.
